Once a term, students would meet with their mentors to discuss their progress in Westminster’s Master of Arts in Counseling. This meeting is not meant to be an evaluation of the student’s counseling skills; rather, this meeting is supposed to focus on the student’s character and calling. The following questions are meant as a guide to students and mentors to structure the conversation, but there is freedom to go down conversational paths as the mentor sees best.Â
Mentors, please approach these meetings with an eye toward completing the mentor evaluation form that will be submitted upon the students entrance to Culminating Seminar; this evaluation will require you to speak to the student’s personal spiritual maturity, Scripture knowledge, and relational wisdom.
