In this article, Robert and Astra Brantley present a picture of a “lifesaver ring” to capture accountability relationship. In the illustration, a counselee is taught to seek out people to whom they have access in order to be involved in constructive mutual relationships. The Brantley’s argue that each person needs someone to disciple him, several peers who can ask us hard questions on a regular basis and one or more other persons to disciple.
