In this editorial, David Powlison discusses a biblical perspective on sex and sexuality. Powlison argues that faith says much more about sexuality than just the basic assertion that Christians opposes sexual immorality. He points out that Christianity is utterly frank about sexual immorality, and the pages of the Bible portray the gamut of sexual activities. However, the Word of God does not stint in describing sex and violence, but God labels sin accurately, rather than titillating us with lies. Powlison concludes that Christianity calls for joyful reveling within marital fidelity and introduces articles within this issue of the JBC focused on the topic of sex.
