In this article, John Bettler presents a sermon, based on Mark 4:35-41. Bettler argues that the passage focuses on the tension between faith and fear. Bettler concludes that the trials that come when Jesus seems to be silent are not due to Jesus’ carelessness, but to his deep, loving concern.
