Fisher discusses six areas of Gothard’s teaching that are problematic including his views on divorce, guidance, the influence of generational sin, imposition of ancient cultural patterns on the church and dogmatic assertions on arbitrary matters. He acknowledges positive aspects of Gothard’s teaching, but cautions against wholesale acceptance of his teaching.
