In this article, William Kooienga, Charles McIlhenny and John Sittema discuss the various ways that hyperbole is used in preaching and shows its proper use and misuse. They show examples of hyperbole found in Old and New Testaments and the use of hyperbole in the ministry of Jesus. They conclude with seven suggestions for proper use of hyperbole.
